Float-plane on the beach
This float plane has landed at a small uninhabited island in the Juan de Fuca Strait (Vancouver Island). This kind of plane can only be used on very calm waters, and the sheltered bays and inlets behind the big island, together with the mountain lakes of mainland Canada are absolutely ideal for the purpose.
