Derelict Windmill
Strictly speaking, this is not a mill; it is a water-pump, or "sifon". It is one of several score of similar sifones which were used, until quite recently, to irrigate the market gardens of the Cartagena hinterland.
Most of the ancient wind-pumps are now derelict. Their disappearance appears to be inevitable, for this kind of cultural disaster is a thing which the Spanish seem peculiarly unable to avert.
