Saint in his Niche
This statue is one of twelve which stand either side of a monastery doorway in the town of Morella (Spain). It represents one of the apostles.
The curious thing about these statues is that the heads and the bodies seem to have been done by different people. The bodies are quite clumsily executed, but the heads are the work of a master.
