The Anchor Bleu is a popular inn on the waterfront at Bosham. This is a very old establishment which, before the 1930s, was known simply as The Anchor.

At low tide the pub looks out across an expanse of mud and seaweed but at high tide the waters of Chichester Harbour lap the seaward wall. In fact, on very high springs, if the wind happens to be blowing a hooley from the south east, the waters even lap around the front door and trickle along the street.
