Beech Tree
The Beech is one of my favourite trees to draw. Its branches are often as thick as the trunks of other trees, and they sometimes form strange contortions or fuse together. I also love the verdigris coloured mould which often adorns the trunk.
This tree, with its raised arms and elephantine trunk, has the potential to be reinterpreted as a malicious woodland spirit.
