Spiders (Arachnids)

Spiders are members of the class Arachnida, a sub-category of the phylum Arthropoda. Like all arthropods, they have a hard exoskeleton and jointed (arthro) legs (pods).
Unlike insects, arachnids have only two body parts - the head and abdomen. Their life cycle is simple; they do not pass through a larval stage but emerge form the egg resembling miniature adults.
They do not ever have wings.

All spiders possess poisonous fangs, and they are all carnivores. Most of them eat insects and other spiders.
