This category includes all terrestrial plants too small to be included in the Trees category.

Marine Plants have been grouped in a different category, and labelled Seaweeds.

Reeds, thistles and such-like are included in the Wildflowers sub-category, together with anything else which is generally found growing in the hedgerow rather than the garden.

The Garden Flowers category contains plants which flourish in an English Country Garden.

Deciding where to categorise the plants is often difficult, particularly in the case of things, such as hibiscus, which grow wild in some parts of the world but which are only ever seen in a garden in others.
