Mezquita
The Mezquita is the name given to the ancient Moorish mosque in Cordoba. It has been selected as a World Heritage Site.
Mezquita is actually the Spanish word for a mosque - any mosque. The only "mezque" in the world is the one at Mecca. Other mosques are all described in the diminutive, "ita" being the equivalent of the English suffix "let" (eg. piglet).
