Wine Horse (1)
What the well-dressed horse is wearing in Caravaca this Spring.
The "wine horses" and their associated brotherhoods can find fame in one of two ways: either they win the fifteen second dash from the bottom of the castle hill to the top, or else they get the most votes in the best-dressed horse competition.
The men and women judging the very fancy dress competition surely have their work cut out, because the horses all wear equally remarkable embroidered coats. The embroidery features the horse breeder, the trainer, and other important members of the brotherhood. The work is quite exquisite - the people featured are all easily recognisable - but one does wonder what the poor old horse thinks of having to wear all that clobber.
