Black-necked Grebe (Podiceps nigricollis) 2
A rather sorry-looking, water-logged Black-Necked Grebe. Note the fabulously fiery eye, the sharp upturned beak, and the impressively large feet. This bird could paddle as fast as we could row our rubber dinghy!
