Baby Mantis
It may be a frail thing only 8mm long, but this baby praying mantis is no coward. Already it exhibits the same behaviour as a well-armed adult mantis; instead of running away it threatens to attack the giant who has plucked it into the air.
"You put me down, or you'll regret it!"
The giant who handles the little monster is my nine year old daughter. The mantis is a cone-head. It was found in Andalucia, in Southern Spain.
