Mill Cottage - Fishbourne Buy

This cottage (nowadays known as Pendrills) is said to have been the abode of the man who kept Fishbourne Mill. It stands opposite the millpond.
It is a patchwork building whose walls are made, here of brick, in various patterns, there of stone rubble salvaged from another building.
It has been so much altered, over the course of time, that determining its age would be well nigh impossible, but we can be reasonably certain that some kind of house has stood on this same site since early mediaeval times.
