Dragonflies mating
Red-veined Darter dragonflies mating. The act generally occurs in mid air, but these two are taking a rest! After a moment or two they flew off, still locked in this loving embrace.
The red one is the male. The pale green female seems to be hanging on with all her might and all six of her legs.
